Missouri has set the worst precedent possible

A bit of a warning.  Angered and annoyed, so ranting a bit.  Ah hell, isn't that a blog anyway?

Something voters approved displeased certain members of Missouri's house.  So they voted to overturn it, on their own, without presenting it to the voting public.  The very people who elected them.  Ballsy.  In my book, political suicide.

Please note in particular, which is why I voted in favor of Prop B:

"Senate Bill 113 would result in the total repeal of the humane water, housing and exercise requirements established by Prop B—as well as erase the restrictions on breeding frequency and the limit on the number of dogs a breeder may keep. It would also substantially weaken the veterinary care requirements, space requirements and enforcement provisions put in place by Prop B."

From the ASPCA:

By a vote of 85-71, the Missouri House of Representatives has just joined the Missouri Senate in

This bill becoming law would deliver an almost inexpressibly damaging blow to the puppy mill reform movement in this country.

What You Can Do
If you are outraged that the state legislature has completely disregarded the will of the people, and if you're fed up with your state being referred to as the Puppy Mill Capital of America, then you must call Governor Jay Nixon at (573) 751-3222 today and urge him to VETO SB 113! Please make this call as soon as you can and urge your family and friends in Missouri to do the same.

Ah, Missouri, you make me so proud to live here.
passing Senate Bill 113.This is the bill that effectively repeals all of the meaningful provisions to protect puppy mill dogs that you, as Missouri citizens, approved last November when Prop B won at the polls by tens of thousands of votes.
