Yesterday, I posted about all the excitement and coming changes that will affect greyhound racing. Skechers, bills, etc.
Something about the quote I posted from a pro-racing person (adoption or something) has been disturbing me since. And I cannot let it rest yet.
As a reminder, this pro-racing individual stated:
“Ya'll need to keep moving west on the Panhandle. PE is still euthanizing perfectly healthy dogs. We try to take every one of them but track politics betwn trainers makes that impossible for us. We also have more dogs than I'd like to think about that have just "dropped off the grid" No clue at all what happened to them, I have a guess but no proof.”
So… I really don’t know who this person is, but my supposition is a member of a GPA/NGA adoption group on the Emerald Coast. Apparently appealing for help.
“PE is still euthanizing perfectly healthy dogs”. “No clue at all what happened to them, I have a guess but no proof.”
To me, I see no difference between Michael Vick and dogfighting, the greyhound racing industry and the thugs in STL shooting strays.
Each and every one is in it for something. Thugs in STL? For a thrill, though not a penny. Sickness and no love of an animal.
Vick and ilk? Money and sickness and no love for an animal.
Racing industry. Money, cold souls and no love for an animal.
“PE is still euthanizing perfectly healthy dogs”. “No clue at all what happened to them, I have a guess but no proof.”
They were no longer winning races for those wrapped up in this industry.
“PE is still euthanizing perfectly healthy dogs”. “…I have a guess but no proof.”
It makes a statement. And pro-racing folks, it truly is not a complimentary statement.
