Full Circle

Today, Berry came home.

January 5th, I left the lifeless shell of an angel who had crossed over Rainbow Bridge, still wearing her elegant, embroidered collar and red and crystal necklace from her Aunt Jen (Krebs) that she wore as I held her.

Today she came home.

Perhaps not in the form I have loved for 6 years.  Not the beautiful black coat, liberally covered in gray, not the sweet little nosey needle nose that begged for a kiss and not the velvety soft ears that were so soothing for both of us when I caressed them.

Today she came home.

She came home in a beautiful rosewood box on top of her blanket and along side of her elegant, embroidered collar and red and crystal necklace from her Aunt Jen.  And the physical tribute to Berry proudly displays a brass plaque:

Beloved Berry

Berry came home today.  With her collar and her necklace gracing the box.

Full circle.
